Help for Haiti: Simple Typing Raises Awareness & Money
I don’t really watch the news, but I do read a lot of it. Since Tuesday I’ve been reading about the devastating earthquake that rocked Haiti, as I’m sure you have too. The news and photos have frankly left me at a loss for words, but holding my family tight and being grateful for the simplest things.
In my reading, I’ve also been looking for ways that I might be able to help. I’m praying, my family has donated to the Red Cross and tried to help spread the word. And then this morning, I came upon this blog post that showed me another way.
Crystal at MoneySavingMom.com has put together an incredible way that we can help, with our time spent surfing the internet. Consider reading her post (link above) and commenting on the blogs that are participating (including this one!). If you have a blog, write a post. Such a simple way to spread love and compassion, and to donate. I am astounded by the generosity of the blogging community I am new to, and am grateful to be a part of it.
Please leave a comment below and help the relief efforts in Haiti. For each comment you leave, my family will donate $.50 to the Red Cross.
{If you’re looking for even more ways you can help, here’s a list of organizations from CNN.}
